Privacy Policy
Kelvinforge Ltd. ("Kelvinforge") controls the personal data collected through kelvinforge.shop. This policy sets out what we collect, why, how long we hold it, who can access it and what rights you have over it.
1. Who is responsible
Kelvinforge Ltd., 58 Dumbarton Road, Glasgow, G11 6NU, United Kingdom. For privacy matters, contact [email protected].
2. Legal framework
Personal data is processed under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 and other applicable rules in United Kingdom. If this policy conflicts with the law, the law takes precedence.
3. What we collect
Placing an order means giving us what's needed to deliver it: name, delivery address, email, phone number and order contents. Card details are never collected or stored on this site. While browsing, the site logs technical data, including IP address, browser type and pages visited, through the cookies described below.
- Customer contact and shipping details (name, address, email, phone)
- Transaction and purchase history
- Technical telemetry and device diagnostics (IP address, browser type)
- Customer support communications
4. Why we use it
- To process orders, arrange delivery and manage returns.
- To reply to your enquiries and send updates about your order.
- To keep the site secure and understand how it's being used.
- To send offers, but only if you've subscribed; you can unsubscribe from any message at any time.
6. Who sees this data
Couriers get the delivery details needed to ship your order. Our payment provider gets what's required to process payment. Hosting and analytics partners process data on our behalf, under contract. We do not sell personal data to anyone.
Kelvinforge does not sell personal data to any third party. As the store operates under the data-protection law of the United Kingdom rather than United States law, the CCPA/CPRA does not apply; customer data protections instead follow the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 described above.
7. How long it's kept
Order records are kept for as long as accounting law requires, then deleted. Account data is kept until you close your account. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
8. Your rights
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, customers have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or port their personal data, and to object to certain processing. Requests can be submitted to [email protected] and will be handled within the statutory response periods.
9. Security
Kelvinforge does not collect, process or store any bank card, card network or digital wallet data, because orders are paid for only on delivery in cash to the courier or by direct bank transfer using details issued with order confirmation; no card payment information is ever requested or retained.
